Every jacket bought on this website comes with complimentary lifetime repairs. It is not a marketing line: it is a written commercial guarantee, and the terms are set out below so you know exactly what you have.
What we repair
Stitching, lining, hardware and leather panels — including damage caused by normal wear and by accidents. A seam that has opened, a zip that has failed, a lining that has worn through, a panel that has been torn: these come back to the atelier and are put right by hand.
The guarantee runs for the lifetime of the jacket and for its original purchaser, worldwide.
What is not covered
Replacement of the whole jacket is not covered by this guarantee. Alterations — changing the fit rather than restoring it — are quoted separately.
Natural variations in grain and colour, and the patina that leather develops with wear, are characteristics of the material rather than faults, so there is nothing to repair.
How to start a repair
Write to info@emiliomoretti.com with a description of what happened and a few photographs. We confirm the repair and send you instructions for sending the jacket to the atelier.
What it costs
The repair itself is free. You pay the shipping to the atelier; we return the jacket to you at our standard shipping rate, which is complimentary within the Netherlands. Outside the Netherlands, the return shipping is at your expense.
How long it takes
Repairs are made by hand, alongside the jackets in production, and typically take 2–3 weeks. We tell you what to expect when we confirm the repair.

Your statutory rights
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your rights under the law. In the European Union the legal guarantee of conformity lasts at least two years from delivery; under Dutch law it lasts for as long as you may reasonably expect a jacket of this quality and price to remain free of defects, which is longer than two years. If a jacket does not conform to the contract you are entitled to the remedies the law provides, whatever this page says.
